Possible medical based reasons for ice chewing.

noise of ice crusher

Postby bellie » Sat Mar 10, 2007 11:33 am

I almost feel guilty about my GALLON + of ice I crunch on a day. I take a gallon ziploc bag to work with me (filled) and run out by the time I drive home.
My husband shudders at the noise of the ice maker crushing and my
boss has to pay a higher heating bill because I am so blasted cold!

I thought I was the only one who did this. I bring a gallon ziploc bag to work also but I am out by 2:00. I probably eat ice on average of 10 hours a day. My daughter get furious at me because of the noise

I go through about 8 trays a night. And 3-4 cups a day in the office

I wish that was all I went through a night. Actually I have my ice maker and my boyfriend's working overtime. I run between both houses. This is absolutley crazy. I wish I could stop. Alot of times I can't hang out with my daughter because the noise makes her mad.

Drives my son crazy too. I feel funny chewing ice when I am in a meeting but I cannot stop. I just had complete blood work done today, so we'll see.
