Prepare yourself for the ultimate ice eating experience. This will make perfect white ice through and through. Let it sit out for a few minutes and it becomes slushy.
Take a lime and cut in half. Squeeze a drop or two into each ice well. (It depends on your taste, Ive put as much as 5 or 6 at a time.. and it varies depending on my mood.) Fill the ice tray with water and set in freezer. I put the tray in the top rack of the door compartment, because it gets direct cold from the blower.
The result is frozen heaven.
Ive not tried it with other fruits, but could work.
Putting only a drop of lime, you can hardly taste the lime at all.. some times I put enough that its sour. Either way it is white, the more juice, the more tender the consistency.
