Veneers

I'm considering getting veneers on my teeth. All of the literature about them says that you should not chew ice after having them applied. I'm not willing to give up my ice chewing but I am hopeful that the warning is overblown. Does anyone here have veneers? Has chewing ice with them been a problem? Have they cracked or needed to be repaired?

Thanks for any input.

I have them and so far, knock on wood, nothing has cracked!!! However, I have been warned not to chew ice with them and I still do but now I just worry about it and try to eat the softer type of ice. 8)
