Eating Ice is causing Orthostatic Hypotension and Jaw Pain

Postby heartofwisdom » Mon Mar 16, 2009 8:45 pm

I crave and eat ice all my waking moments. Now I have developed orthostatic hypotension=dizziness- everytime I get up I fel like I'm going to pass out.

I believe the eating so MUCH ICE is acting as a diuretic and causing me to lose salt which is causing the orthostatic hypotension.

Also I have horrible jaw pain I thought was a tooth ache but dentist said no cavities I might be grinding my teeth. I'm griinding alright--grinding ice with teeth all day and night. I even get up at 2 am for a glass of ice.

I get frequent blood transfusion for the anemia-- they usually take away cravings for a motnh or so but the last two units didn't take away the cravings??

Anyone else eat enough to make themselves dizzy?

Thanks
