Ice Chewing and Depression-- Is There A Factual Correlation?

I'm just curious. I started chewing ice about 6 months ago. My research led me to believe that I could quite possibly be anemic. Depression was also brought up when I was talking with others. I am interested in hearing anything that you have heard, and/or know for a fact about this subject.

Thanks in advance!

If you are anemic, then the absence of blood can cause changes in your body chemistry that can lead to depression. This and/or the psychological effects of being weak perpetually may be affecting you as well.

This is first hand.
