Ice Chewers Bulletin Board - All about Chewing Ice

I havw a six year old that is always chewing ice. He is on multi vitamins and an extre vitamin c. He is not a great eater ? An idea why he chews ice

I don't think you should be letting your child eat ice.
Try giving him water instead. Did he pick this habit up from you or somebody elses in the family. I remember a time i was in the refrigerator at my mom house my 4 old nephew saw me and he was like I want some ice. so i gave him one piece. I don't think he pick up the habit he was just being a kid wanting to do what he saw me doing.

But go have his blood check. I'm not sure if you have read majority of the messages on the board but he might be anemic.
