DO YOU WANT YOUR ICE?

Hello all of my "cool" brothers and sisters. I stumbled across this website yesterday and could not believe my ice. :) I too have always wondered if there were other compulsive ice eaters like myself. I used to drive my boyfriend crazy. I guess he has gotten used to it or just accepted my constant crunching. My user name is in honor of him... he calls me the Ice Queen... and it has nothing to do with my personality. I have been chomping on ice sinse I was a kid and I'm 29 now. I have never cracked a tooth and I have never had a cavity. I attribute the lack of cavities to the ice eating because it keeps my teeth clean between brushings, but maybe I just have really healthy teeth, I guess I'll never know. As I read all of the postings out here I found that I have so much in common with a lot of you: half-filled ice trays, cloudy ice cubes, nugget/pellet ice, "aww my cups empty", Sonic ice, Publix ice, etc. I live in Florida, so I find a lot of times people are complaining that they are so hot and I'm kicked back with my ice feeling pretty good, it's definitely one easy way to cool down quick. 8) My boyfriend knows how to make my drinks. It takes building a mountain of ice over the top of the glass before pouring the drink. The rule of my drink is once the drink is poured, press on the ice, if your finger submerges in the drink, there's not enough ice. When you press on the ice it should not move, there should be ice through and through to the bottom of the glass. He doesn't make my drinks too often, he doesn't like to have to put so much thought into making something to drink. Usually I say "no thank you" when he asks if I'd like something to drink so that I can spare him from the ordeal, but when he does, he gets it right. Then once I have eaten all of my ice, I rush him to finish his drink so that I can eat his ice. I am a fien!! Now every time I am eating ice my two year old son wants some too... uh oh... I'm influencing him. Honestly, I have NEVER met anyone who likes ice the way I do, until you!! So, I know that it's loud in my head and I know if has driven my family crazy, but I don't know what it sounds like to have someone constantly crunching next to me. Maybe my son will pay me back for the torture I've put my family and coworkers through. No probably not, I'll just probably be crunching along with him!!!! Crunch on people, crunch on!!!

Hi fellow ice fiends,

I logged in for the first time maybe 2-3 weeks ago, read everything on this site then went right down to the drug store and bought a big bottle of slow release iron and some zinc. I cant believe the difference, I still eat some ice, the key word being some not pounds and pounds a day. It tottaly taste different now, I dont have the strong overwhelming get me up in the middle of the night urge to eat it the way I did. now I just have a few pieces at a time if its in my drink. Im telling you guys I think iron and zinc are the key to this problem. Now I just need help for the side effects of iron, maybe prunes LOL!!!!
