Ice has different flavors

Postby VeronicaLodge » Wed Nov 09, 2005 5:34 pm

Hi everyone! Depending on the water and consistency of the ice I have been able to detect slight flavors. This weekend I detected a hint of vanilla as a cold chunk slid down my throat. Today I encountered a wonderful coconut flavor as I cruched a semi soft cube. This getting intense!! I'm glad to be here by the way, just registered today!

i can taste the difference between ice from an ice maker or a tray, and ice that has been frozen using chemicals and "clean ice", but thats about it. if you give me an ice cube, i can guesstimate about how long it's been frozen for too, the difference between one day and a few is always really obvious to me. even frozen water gets stagnant.

ps. this is my first post! i didn't know ice had such a following, but i'm psyched i found this place, i love you all.
